Children's Leaders one body working together

How am I a part of KICKIR?

Times are clearly changing. Finances are tight, our budgets even tighter, families are becoming more stressed, job losses and the future remains a concern. The irony of this...ministry has to continue and truly there is no better time. We (children's leaders, pastors, churches and the KICKIR crew) have been called by God to minister, to bring the good news to all, about a Savior who brings peace, love and grace! We cannot change the finances, job losses, or budgets but we (as one body) can impact lives.

What is the cost for churches and the event?

This is a very big event for kids and families and does include a lot of people and resources on behalf of KICKIR. The way KICKIR begins consideration of a location is 'Church Involvement'. We ask that multiple churches come together and each financially invest an amount to help establish a starting point for the event. The remaining amount to be financed is done through the $30 registration fee from each participant.

What ages should attend the conference?

The conference is designed for 3rd-6th graders.

What's the KICKIR Mission/Purpose?

KICKIR exists to transform kids and restore families to the unending and unconditional love of Jesus Christ.

How will we accomplish our Mission?

KICKIR partners with Children’s Leaders with the sole focus of leading Kids and Families to Christ as a united body of believers.

What's the day look like?

It's a non-stop mixture of variety. Our morning session begins with high-energy interactive music and comedy, followed by a very creative and humorous message. After lunch we'll have extreme crowd games, giveaways, inflatables, and more engaging and unique teaching all leading up to a grand finale. Our entire day is specific, strategic, professional, and purposeful!

What's my role as Children's Leader?

You are the 'Hype Master'! Your biggest role is to promote the KICKIR Kids Conference within your church and invite other churches. Remember, this is a God party for everyone, and we need you to be the cheerleader for the event. We supply electonic bulletin announcments, electronic handouts, electronic posters, and anything else you'll need for your church promotion. A KICKIR 'Hype Rep' will be in constant contact with you to make this easy. Basically just smile and tell them 'Don't Miss It!'

What is the term 'HOST CHURCH'?

The host church is the church that is helping to bring KICKIR to their area. Usually the host church is where the event will be taking palce based upon audio capabilities, media, stage and lighting capabilities, facility space (auditorium can hold up to 1,000 people), etc. However, a host church can be a church that doesn't meet the facility needs, but partners with a church that does have the physical capabilities. These churches can work together as one physically lends space while the other may work the logistics of volunteers.

A KICKIR event doesn't take a lot of people, but it does need some serving hearts to make the event a wonderful experience for the kids and families. KICKIR has the breakdowns and 'Let's Make Ministry Rock!' volunteer descriptions for making the KICKIR Conference an unforgettable weekend.

Does my church get to sit together?

Seating is on a first come first serve for both the night Family Event and Saturday Kids Conference event. We kindly ask and recommend that churches stay together as a group and for all churches to work together to help the groups stay together. This makes it more fun and helps the leaders stay in contact with their kids.

Will I feel threatened to take my church over to another church?

Absolutely not. We understand the concern, and because of that concern, we have asked all HOST CHURCHES not to push their church during the event. Instead, they graciously open their doors for the event. During the conference, we (KICKIR) will tastefully encourage your kids and any visitors you have brought to the event to 'Grow and Go' in Christ's name at your church.

Could this be considered a camp?

Yes, it can. Due to our economic times, day camps and overnight camps are becoming harder for families to finance. This event can be a tremendous economic replacement. It's even better for the children's leader as we take care of everything except the relationship and focus you get to put into your kids and families.

We already do a camp, should we consider this?

Absolutely! We have purposely made the cost of the conference extremely affordable so churches can still attend this event . As a non-profit organizaion, we do have a lengthy list of expenses, but we have sacrificed in many ways to limit the costs so kids and families can attend and anticipate an exciting weekend.

Does it have to include everyone, or can it be just our church?

This is a non-denominational event that is completely focused on kids and families of all denominations. Because of the way KICKIR is structured, it is not an event designed for a single church; it's an event to celebrate God and who He is as a body of believers coming together and being strengthened and empowered.

What are the times for Friday and Saturday Events?

Friday Kids and Family Concert: 7:00p-8:30p
Saturday Kids Conerence: 9:00-3p (Doors and seating open at 8:30am)

Registration Information how does it work

The Children's Leader can be the 'Registration Rep' or you can have a volunteer take care of this. It is very simple.

A KICKIR 'Registration Rep' will be in constant contact with your church Registration Rep. to answer any questions and help things smoothly. This truly is a simple process and should not be feared. We make it easy.

What has to be done to sign up?

Register through the Church Registration Rep, and fill out an 'Attendance Waiver'.

Is there a discount for me? The Children's Pastor/Leader?

Yes, there is. This event is about you investing in your kids and KICKIR investing in your kids and families through you. Since you'll be the 'Hype Master' at your church, we want to reward you by offering you the conference at 'No Cost'.

Is there a discount for adult leader volunteer?

Yes, there is. For any leader over the age of 18 that you bring, the registration fee is $15. This includes lunch on Saturday.

What about my youth (High Schoolers) helping me?

Yes, youth (High Schoolers 9-12th) are invited as well. There is a $15 registration fee for them as well. We want them to be a part, but strongly encourage you to have adults (18 and over) leaders as your main volunteer base.

Is there a discount for a child of a volunteer?

No, there isn't.

Does KICKIR do background checks on your leaders?

No, we do not. However, we strongly encourage all churches to perform background checks on any adult serving. We can refer you to companies who perform background checks if you would like.

How do families register?

There are two ways to register: First, we'd ask for a representative from your church to be the 'Registration Rep'. This person can take names and collect registration fees. Our KICKER 'Registration Reps' will stay in contact with that individual.

The second way to register: Families can register their kids on this site by clicking on any of the CLICK HERE TO REGISTER' Tabs. They can pay by credit card using that link.

Are there benefits to early registration?

Yes there are. Up until 7 days before the actual event, the registration fee is $30. This will include a lunch on Saturday. Registration within the one week window of the event goes to $40.

Is there a sibling discount?

No, there isn't. There are many behind the scene expenses. Operational cost cutting measures have been taken to provide an amazing event to the familes at an affordable cost. Encourgage your families to take advantage of early registration to save $10 per child.

Is there a deposit for any registrations?

No, there isnt'. The full payment is expected upon registration.

Are there any scholarships?

This is to be managed by the churches. You may have some funding you want to use to help some of your kids. You may have people within your church who have a heart to sponsor a child. Again, this would be handled by the church and not KICKIR. We strongly encourage this type of outreach and assistance as the child will experience an event that will be life changing!

What is the leader:child ratio?

We recommend a 1:8 ratio. Getting enough leaders to help should be easy. Our discounted price of $15, is designed to help support you and your volunteer leaders. We believe this is truly an event parents will want to attend!
